i was one of the last to sign myself up and ive not made alot of games this season, I'll happily give it a miss to let someone who has been playing regular a better chance to enjoy themselves.

Did we even have a ref for the Peterborough friendly last year? I was too knackered to play in it. Non (tournament)-players would be able to fit into a friendly if they take a sneaky pair of boots along?

That's us got a coach booked for the weekend (with a driver).

Adds a bit of price onto the weekend but the aim is that the racenight will cover the cost of the coach and we'll only have to pay for our accomodation. If everyone plugs away and sells football cards and what not though, we'll hopefully be able to chip a little bit off the accomodation too - we'll just need to see how it all goes nearer the time we need to pay it.

Coach doesn't need paid until 10 days before we go and the hotel doesn't get paid until arrival so we'll know by a fortnight before we go exactly how much we've raised and still need to pay.

Cannae fooking wait!

Will get this unstickied soon and create a new thread so we can see where we are at the mo with everything

I am fairly certain thar Dunfermline drew a socttish team last year in their group.. so there's nothing to stop an all Scottish group.. should fate allow. (I believe)

Now that the racenight is out of the way, we know that if a bit of hard work is put into shifting the football cards, we'll clear the cost of the coach meaning that all we'll have to pay is accomodation for the weekend.

I've got a whole bundle of 80 team football cards here - I'll pass them out to everyone tomorrow and if you're not there, if you could try and get in contact with me and I'll give you one.

80 sounds like a lot but if we make it 50p a shot, most folk you chin will take 2 shots. Bring in £40 in total - £20 to the winnner, £20 to funds.

If the 24 guys going to Leeds all sold one football card, we'd make another £480 to put towards the fund.

Let's try our hardest to get these sold lads!

Lads,

This is where we're at.

The coach needs to be paid by a week on Friday (2nd July). After the racenight money is deducted, each of the 24 going will need to pay £22.50 towards the coach plus your £80 for accomodation.

So effectively, if everyone gets a football card finished by a week on Fri, the coach will be covered and we'll just have to pay our accomodation each.

I'll give it until next week and see how everyone's doing with the football cards as I'll need you all to pay me whatever's left to be paid for the coach by the date so I can pay the company

Hope that makes sense - let's get a push on with the cards

I have sold 3/4 of my card so far, most folk are putting in about £2 each. I am away to tenerife tomorow but should have it finished by the 2nd of july mate x

Had an idea about the way we should bring in the football card money to keep it fair on those guys who burst a gut to sell thiers.

At the minute, the remaining cost needed to pay the coach comes to £22.50 per player. How about if I say that by the date it's needed paid, everyone must pass me that amount. So if you sell your football card, you'll have that £20 plus £2.50 of your own. If you don't, then you'll just be paying £22.50 from your own pocket?

This way, if you've done your card, you'll hardly be paying anything out of your own pocket, and if you don't try to sell a card, then fair enough, but you'll just have to pay your £22.50 from your own pocket...

Sound OK? I personally think it's the fairest way of making sure those who make the effort, get the benefit. It also means that if you can't sell you're football card by next Friday (the day the coach needs paid), you can pay the £20 from your own pocket but can reimburse yourself when you do complete the card.

Everyone happy with this way? Will confirm either tonight or tomorrow exactly when I need the money in.
