Leicester lost in the final of the Plate. RC Lens lost in the final of the Cup to Bradford.

I've been telling folk we did well and were just unlucky.

We had 3 x 1-0 defeats and in those games we switched off for a moment and were punished, while we didn't take any of the many chances we created in each game.

If a bit of luck had gone our way I think we could have won all our games.

That's what I'm telling myself anyway!

I agree totally Kev. We weren't outclassed in any of the games we played. On another weekend (with Scottish refs ) we'd have had 3 penalties in 3 different games for hand-ball and that could have changed the game. Someone said it elsewhere, but Halifax seemed to be the only team that didn't get lucky against us.

The Hull goal came from a dodgy collision (which could have been a GS foul) and the boy scuffs his shot under Mark. We battered Ipswich in the last group game and if we'd had a bit of luck, could have stuck 4 or 5 past them. Then the Leicester game we could have had wrapped up in normal time, then they manage to squeeze a goal out of nothing when we had them outnumbered at the back.
