The Livi Lions SC coaches stopped for a 'lightning' visit to The Dundee Indoor Bowling Club before yesterdays victory over Dundee.
I appreciate that on reflection it probably wasn't the best of ideas, considering that we didn't arrive until half two, but having been invited there by the manager 'John' who was laying on 80 pies for us, I was in between a rock and a hard place as to phoning him and cancelling our quick 'recce' visit and heading straight to the game.
Despite the lateness of our arrival, I bet they'll be hard pushed to remember another time when in only around 15 minutes they've put so much money in their tills, that's for sure!
Anyway, as stated, if anyone has any feedback on the place that they'd like to share, please let us know.
I personally found the place pleasant enough, with a good number of bar staff serving. I found that the free pies were good too:D.
We're not due to return to Dundee until Tue Jan 2nd, so I'm not exactly sure whether that game will be a 3pm or a 7.45pm KO.
If it's a 3pm KO, would you be happy for the supporters club to leave a little earlier so as to arrive at possibly the back of 1pm to allow for a decent lengthed stop-over?
The Supporters Club isn't planning on leaving early for too many game this season. The journies to Dingwall, Gretna and Dumfries are that bit longer anyway, so we'll always try to work in a lunch stop for travellers and the driver into these games.
We have actually been invited to a Sports Bar in Airdrie, but we're not due to play them until early November, so I'll get a few more details about them and let folk know the score.
So, comments on the Bowling Club?
Cheers, P
