I've got a fence that needs painting this summer. Juice, tea, coffee and cake, biscuits etc... Anybody? Thought not. We laugh at Gretna?!

All this is that the club have various wee bits and pieces that need done over the summer that in the past have been managed by supporters volunteering an hour here or an hour or two there over the football free months.
It's no big deal that they are again asking for volunteers in advance of scheduling whatever needs to be done.

I think they are taking advantage of the loyal supporters. If they were running a business then you would laugh at it...

Aye. Imagine having the audacity to ask politely for supporters (many of whom have intimated that they'd be happy to help in some way or another) to give them a hand doing odds and sods throughout the close season.
I can only assume too that they'll try to organise any volunteers time in an organised and productive manner so that the bits and bobs get done in an orderly fashion.
I can't believe the cheek of them. I really can't.
Up couldn't it make you.

As far back as our first season in 1995 when they cleared snow off the pitch Livi fans have helped out the club. No one is taken advantage of if they willingly offer their services. Other clubs do the same. What's the problem?

It's very good business sense actually, and an idea I suggested to Tony "Troosahs" Kinder when he was temporary chairman. Besides, many folk are only too happy to help their club out in whatever way they can.

Tis really a simple one, if you have a wee bit of time, then all the club are asking is if you are willing to help out, then you would be more than weclum!
It was the supporters that brought up the idea in the first place, I'll be giving Paul a phone and lend a helping hand anyday :banana-th
MOD NOTE: Please keep all post replies on topic(ish!!), any off topic replies will be deleted. If you have any stupid pointless continuious moans, gripes, aches or pains, please vent all anger at the dog before logging on.

I think this is a really good idea. Remember a lot off people cannot easily afford to give a football club their money kids/tight budget/oap but all they are asking for is your time & effort. A great way to show support for your club & it's not going to cost anything.[banjump] :nana:
